Cancer, belonging and possesing

As a mother of Cancer baby, I couldn’t ignore the first signs of Cancer personality. At the age of 10 months, he already had his own pet: a puppet he adopted just to visit and nurture everyday. He was happy and excited to see it and you could see the strong sense of duty he felt towards it: there wasn’t a day he forgot or ignored the puppet.

Being born under the sign of Cancer, this instinct of having and taking care of something is not surprising. Cancers define themselves by other creatures they take care of and by who and what they are faithfull to. That is why you would often hear the words “Family” and “Patriotism” in relation to Cancer Sun, Moon or AC people.

In combination with a lot of air in the personal chart, or when Uranus is strong,  people with dominant Cancer will be faithful to ideals and ideas and define themselves by activism, voulantaring for society or a cause. When a lot of fire is presense in the chart, or with dominant Mars, these people will devote themselves to doing and making, or in other words you may see a workoholic here. When earth is strong in natal chart, the main loyalty will be to structures, routines and heritages: here you will see people who care about their and their loved ones routine, nurture the physical self (body) and the imidiate surounding. and with lots of water these people usually become family oriented, full of self motivation and inner drive. These will be focused in whatever other parts of the chart, such as Mars’, Mars ruler’s, planets in 10th house and 10th ruler’s location and aspects indicate.

Chiron and Mercury conjunction opposite moon squaring Saturn; then Moon and Jupiter square Pluto. and Venus? in the middle

So what was going on in the last few days? it feels like there’s chaos all around. last 4-5 days created a unique constellation in the skies, with planets forming challenging angles that had big affect on almost anybody – these few constellations in a raw left their mark on any person who’s got in their natal chart important personal planets between 21 and 28-29 degrees, on those who have dominant Virgo, Pisces, Capricorn, Libra or Sagittarius; and on those who are ruled by either Saturn, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Chiron or Pluto. In other words, either you or someone you know well was affected by these astrological transits.

first, on March 12,  Mercury conjuncted Chiron in Pisces, forming both an opposition to the Moon in Virgo. In addition to that, all 3 planets – the conjunction of Chiron and Mercury in Pisces and the Moon in Virgo – created a square to Saturn in Sagittarius. this constellation was basically a mutable signs one, but it involved dominant planets and occurred in the 27th degree, affecting everyone with planets on 25-28 degrees in mutable signs or those who have dominant Moon, Saturn, Mercury or Chiron on their Chart.

The next day, March 13, a Moon – Venus opposition occured. and then a Moon-Jupiter conjunction in Libra, opposing Uranus in Aries and squaring Pluto in Capricorn, took place on March 14, 2017: Both days woken up elements in your personal chart if you were born with strong or personal planets in 10-11 and 19-22 degrees and also if you have a dominant Moon, Venus, Pluto or Jupiter on your natal chart.

So what exactly happened? basically think of a wave. It starts with Moon in Virgo opposing Mercury and Chiron in Pisces, all square Saturn in Sagittarius. The key factor here was moon. When in Virgo, it makes this aspect a cleaning one, an aspect that may involve either job and work issues, health issues – especially eyes, OCD,  fixing body parts and broken machines, healing and meditation issues, people in service positions and more Virgo areas. Such moon having harsh aspects with Saturn, Chiron and Mercury results in structure problems, problems with illness, with authorities and with father figures, and things happen harshly. reality (Mercury and Saturn) is not pleasant to us but absolutely can’t be hidden or smeared. All this energy goes to the next level when the moon goes along into Libra. the Venus opposition adds money issues, relationships and appearance, especially head. The next day, the Uranus opposition and Pluto square to the Moon causes things to end up quickly and abruptly, clean up and be exposed in a cruel ugly way, and begin a process of healing.

So now, few days later, we are here (whoever of us who are still here), traumatised probably, shocked, maybe confused. we need to go on and take care of ourselves, maybe use it to examine our systems of believe and our truth.

Aquarius own way

Aquarius is considered to be the most eccentric, weird, quirky and original of all signs. For many Aquarians it is hard to relate to Aquarius stereotypes: they portray a character which is hardly human. As an air sun myself i remembered having hard times finding myself in the Astrology descriptions of my sign; the same happened to one of my best friends, an Aquarius (also air sign). Astrologers usually talk about our brains and need to talk, communicate and transfer ideas, as if we were some kind of robots. Even lovely Libra, the third air sign of the zodiac, is being portrayed often in Astrology as a cold, calculated person.

But Aquarius definitely suffers from the worst public relations. In this post I would like to talk about Aquarius as a human, and try to explain their real traits that make them the unique people they are.

Aquarius people have data in their minds. They relate to the world through processing and consuming it in pieces of knowledge, information: data. it doesn’t mean Aquarius people don’t have feelings, it only means they treat and process their own feelings as another piece of information they have. that is why so often they might become overwhelmed by their own feeling, an episode that usually ends up with some alone-time.

This trait also causes them often to sound like they are sunk in details and can’t tell important and relevant data from pieces of information they have just collected along the way. It is a common thing talking to an Aquarius about a problem they have, having them sharing all of a sudden a fact that you totally don’t understand its relation to the subject. That is why they give the impression of being weird and eccentric -While in fact, they are having in front of them a lot of data, in a way that makes it hard to tell which one is relevant and which one is less relevant to the topic (that is why the get along so well with Geminis who tell them the facts apart from each other and take all the details into a nice structured logical story). This trait also makes them a very good advisers for others, where feelings are coming on the way of finding a solution for a problem and shouldn’t be taken into account.

For the same reason it is very hard for an Aquarius to make a decision. They can function bravely and admirably in a crisis but if they have time they will take it to consider the pros and cons of every situation, and to weigh all the tiny details that may affect their choice. That is also related to them being a Fixed Sign.

In a relationship, Aquarius people are as stubborn as notorious Taurus. They have their own way, which is usually the way that is best for everyone and for the greater good – and they won’t compromise it no matter what. Unlike Pisces, who also tend to see the general situation and outcome of their own private deeds and decisions, Aquarius are not flexible and won’t adjust themselves to changing circumstances. As a fix sign they tend to preserve things, relationships and even status quos and situations, and as an analytical, highly moral sign they know what is best for everyone.

Being so generalizing in their point of view, it is easier for them to move on where others might have stopped. That is how they find themselves in weird situations during their lives. They need to have friends who will accept and understand their unusual life experiences and ideas. friends ARE, ad astrologers usually emphasize, very important to Aquarius people.

Mars transits on 8th and 12th houses

Having Mars transiting your 8th or 12th natal house is not an easy period of time. the 8th and 12th are internal, intimate houses. Having Mars there is like having an elephant in a china store – mars shows its malefic side when entering any of these houses since naturally he is an energetic, external and aggressive planet, while these houses are delicate, receptive and passive.

Usually having Mars in either the 8th or 12th natal house indicates a sensitive time in which some deep fears, resentments, phobias, anxieties and intrigues arise.

The 8th house, being more partnership related, may arise fears and harsh feeling towards other significant people. Issues of trust are likely to harm the image of the other person and to interfere with otherwise smooth relationships. Self doubt is less likely here: the 8th house is about inner drive so with Mars here there might be a feeling of having no energy anymore. feeling drained or exhausted from life is likely with this transit.

The 12th house is more related to general phobias, depression and fears. A person with Mars transiting this house may feel overwhelmed by the world, may have problems communicating their feelings and sharing their fears therefore the result might be feeling isolated and alone. Sleeping problems and addictions may also be a cause for a more lasting depression when transiting Mars is in the natal 12th house.

These two houses are also connected to self strength so having Mars in any of them may result in feeling weak, helpless and hopeless. Mars in these houses tend to take energy instead of giving energy so the usual self strength, emotional ease, confidence in life that a person feels may turn into less favorable feelings.

Since mars transits a natal house for at least 2-3 month, the manifestation of its influence on the 8th or 12th house won’t be short and sharp. Instead, a sensation of isolation or mistrust will start build themselves from the moment Mars touches the cusp of the house.  later on there will be a period of building up all the negative emotions, dealing with them and learning how to handle them, to a point that usually when Mars left the house, the person feels a huge relief, but not sudden and surprising one – rather a feeling that they themselves learned how to rule their fears.

Family Astrology

There are quite few common astrological combinations that are often found within families. They form an astrological structure as well as special relations between the family members. These family astrological combinations usually hold a karmatic meaning.

A ruling planet –

All family member will have, in this constelation, the same planet as a ruling or dominant planet in their charts. For example, an uranian family may have an aquarius dad, a mom with uranus as the ruling planet of her chart, one child with uranus on 1st house and one child with aquarius moon. The meaning is that this family was blessed with an uranian energy – they will be freedom loving people, keen to the new, considered somewhat weird as a family. Maybe they will have an unusual way of living, habits or relationships.

same sign kids –

Two, three or more children with same sun sign. The sunsign could be a telltale for the whole family energy: for example, taurus kids will indicate a country life and a tendency for foods: this family likes going on picnics, make food and eat, and induldge in the good life.

parent’s sun = child’s moon –

In this case, child will “take on” one of the parents’ sun sign and “embrace” it as his own moon sign. This kind of energy usually indicates a special connection between this parent and that child. Even if not shown, they may have a very strong understanding of each other and expresses each of other’s needs (unless other planets are opposing each other)

6-8 relationships –

With this constellation, a child’s sun sign would be placed on the 6th or 8th house from their parents sun sign. For example: a Capricorn parent with a Leo child or with a Gemini child. A Cancer parent with a Saggitarius or Aquarius child. And so on. This one considers to be a karmatic relationship, too: it usually forms a relationship in which both sides learn an important lesson about themselves thanks to the other.

What happens to Natal Chart when moving Abroad

Iy might be very surprising but Natal Chart changes along with its owner’s moving to other place than were born. When people move in the same neighborhood or even city, nothing really happens because coordinates remain the same as original ones. But when moving to another country, usually coordinates change in a way that an adjustment to the Natal Chart is needed.

How can a Natal Chart be changed?

Actually Natal Chart can not change. It remains the same throughout the whole life. But when moving, an adjustment to the Natal Chart has to be made so that a new chart is being drawn. this new chart won’t replace the old Natal one; it is only a new, additional chart to be taken into account when calculating personal transits and forecasts.

How to calculate your new Natal Chart

Calculating the new Natal Chart is easy. All you need to do is put the new coordinates instead of the old ones. If working with a making a chart program, just choose the new location instead of the old one. For example, I have moved from Israel to Snata Fe, NM so instead of putting Tel Aviv in the birth place field, I put Santa Fe.

You would also want to change your hour of birth. this is a bit more complicated – you need to substruct or add to the hour you were born in, according to the geographical relations between the place you had been born and the new place were you have moved to. For example, if time in Israel on my birth was 00:25 and I moved to Santa fe then i substract from my birth time 8 hours; because time gap between Israel and Santa Fe is -8. Make sure to take into account any saving time methods that were presence in your birth place during your birth.

How to read the new Natal Chart

Reading new Natal Chart is similar to reading the old chart, the original one, only here you read it in addition to the old one. usually the only thing that is being changed after the chart time ad place shift, is the Ascendant or AC (Rising Sign), and the position of planets in houses. That means that Any major or small planets aspecting you natal planets are still relevant when reading your own chart only now you also need to take into account any aspects being made to your new AC. Plus, since planets in houses have changed, the aspects affect also the new houses where plants are present, not only the old houes.

Baphomet, Behemoth, Capricorn and traffic to my astrology blog

A long time ago I used to do SEO for living and I maintained a blog. That was how I started to kind of like the hectic vibes of the web. I’m also an Aquarius moon with Aries rising so it’s reasonable for me, astrologically, to relate to such an intense virtual surrounding. Anyways, with this new astrology blog, I have now a good reason to go back to my old SEO habits. These, for those of you who are not maintaining a blog or a website, are:

1. Checking your stats every 5 hours – to see how much traffic you have on your site and where do they all come from, wondering where do all astrology fans hang out online.

2. Checking the inlinks to your site and try to figure why all the other links you have worked on were ignored by Google.

3. Generally, spending much more time than reasonable trying to understand Google, taken it is not a real person that you like.

4. Trying to make up astrology content, more content and some more astrology content, using your everyday experiences with astrology and doing readings atc.,  cause Content is the king.

5. Creating banners to make the content look less boring

6. and so on.

But the idea of this post was to tell you guys what people search for when they find my blog on the web and click it, cause that was a weird discovery. Turns out, that my astrology blog is mainly identified with Capricorn, according to Google. The most common terms people look up when they get to my blog are Capricorn and Saturn related terms, such as Capricorn in 7th house, Saturn in Scorpio (have no idea why, I have never written anything about Capricorn in scorpio) – but also Bephomet. Apparently there is such a thing and you can even find it in my blog. So what is Baphomet? according to the Hebrew Wikipedia it is a goat-like creature and another name for the devil, which is probably a misspelling of prophet Muhammad name. I tried to pronounce Baphomet and Muhammad and to be honest it doesn’t sound quite the same so i came up with another theory: it came from Behemoth. To those of you who are still with me now, things are getting complicated and the plot thickens… Capricorn is related to Bephomet because of a weird historical circumstances that linked between this name and a 19th century drawing of a goat-like creature, made by Eliphas Levi, a french occultist, which is a mystical character by himself.

As some of you may have noticed, the symbol in which Levi had drawn himself is the Magen David, which was confused and still is sometimes with the symbol I use as my blog logo. The name of the picture of my logo is bephomet or baphomet, and that is why people get to my blog when searching this term. The link that I came up with, between Baphomet and Behemoth, is based on similar historical circumstances that connected between Satan, the Devil and Behemoth, which is a biblical name for hippo, mentioned in Job 40. Some external books and other sources have connected between the creature mentioned in Job 40 and some capricorn-like creature related to occultism and paganic Satan worship. That is why I believe Baphomet or Bephomet and Behemoth are actually the same thing.

And what is the connection between Capricorn and all that? well, remind you that signs were created in middle ages, by marginal groups such as Islamic and Jews in Europe. Historically, it was a time of lots of pagan activity and flourish of pagan mysticism and occultism, made also by marginal, though other, groups. The result is a mix up between symbols, names and meanings. Astrology, of all occult practices, have survived and with it the symbol of the goat which is half a fish half a goat, certainly a mythical creature.

I guess drawing a chart for my blog could have solved all the mystery and show the Capricornian influences it has…  those that show themselves in hidden ways. actually Im going to check this thing right now and come back later with some updates.

More of the Moon / Cancer / 4th house and Uranus / Aquarius / 11th house Feminist connection

Continuing my investigations into the connections between dominant feminist figures and relations in their natal charts between Moon / Cancer / 4th house and Uranus / Aquarius / 11th house, here are some additional examples:

Andrea Dworkin – known for her struggles against pornography back in the 80s, Dworkin has a triangle between AC in Aquarius, Uranus in 4th house and Moon.

Judith Butler – a Yod structure between IC in Cancer, Mercury in Aquarius and ruler of 11th house  (pointing at the IC). Those of you who read her performativity theory and familiar with her background can see the connection: the idea for her theory was taken from family structures she became aware of as a child (IC in Cancer). this turned into a great mind-changing writing (Mercury in Aquarius in 11th house)

Emma Goldman – the feminist anarchist has Sun in Cancer, Uranus, ruler of 4th house, in Cancer conjuncting Venus, both quincunx Moon in Aquarius.

EG

Gertrude Stein – Sun in Aquarius Conjuncting Mercury, ruler of 4th house, both opposing Uranus.

480px-Gertrude_Stein_1935-01-04

Valerie Solanas – known mostly for her SCUM manifest, Solanas has Uranus, ruler of 11th house, in 4th house in Cancer, trines Moon, ruler of 4th.

Eve Kosovski Sedgwick – Venus, ruler of both 4th and 11th houses, trines Moon.

Emma Watson – the youngest celebrity feminist got Mars in Aquarius, sextiles Moon in the cusp of the 4th house and also sextiles sun, ruler of 11th house.

Rihanna – representing the new kind of feminism, which manifests itself through actions more then through words, Rihanna has Mercury in Aquarius sextiles Moon in 11th house.

Malala Yousafzai – the 17 year old peace Nobel prize winner, known for her feminist struggles and agenda, has Cancer Sun quincunx Jupiter in Aquarius, and Uranus in Aquarius trines Moon, opposing ruler of 11th house.
